The Purpose Team
There exists certain marketing-speak that sends alarm bells ringing. Not because these promises of transparency or empowerment or money-saving aren’t genuine, but because we’ve grown cynical with big companies who monopolise their markets and are driven by profits and bugger all else. When you dig further into what renewable energy company Powershop is about, the overarching theme is humans, and its purpose is to help you get a solid grip on how you’re using energy and how you might use less of it.

Just saying it aloud sounds odd and could even be mistaken for a typo: there are banks that exist not solely for profit. One such company, Bank Australia, which started as a credit cooperative in 1957, recently ditched its former name and, with a recent rebranding, hopes to teach people that as with organic cotton T-shirts and fairtrade chocolate, the same consumer power can be illustrated through the bank you choose.KEEP READING

Just last week I was asked, ‘So how do we do this Conscious Capitalism ‘thing’?’
It’s a fair question from a well-intentioned company, yet there is no magic bullet. Sure, there are four key pillars. It starts with discovering your higher purpose.

B Corporations, social enterprise, shared value, conscious capitalism, co-ops and the merging of not-for-profit and for-profit models; it’s a brave new world of purpose-driven business models and we’d like to explore and navigate it with you. Click here to tell us about your unique model.KEEP READING

Purpose will not be your standard business conference. In fact, at Wildwon we think that the conference as we know it is dead.
We are done with over-priced, underwhelming conference experiences and so have poured all of our energy as a company into creating rich, human and wonderful learning and networking experiences for communities we care about. Purpose is one of these, and we created this graphic to help you understand how the price of a ticket compares with other conferences and just how valuable the experience will be.KEEP READING

Climate change is a really hard thing to get people to give a real shit about. And we get why. While it’s tragic seeing polar bears floating away on their shrunken icebergs and dissected birds with their innards filled with plastic, these images are so far removed from our everyday life to do nothing more than a ‘oh that sucks’.KEEP READING
