Suzanne Boccalatte is a designer, writer, forecaster. Suzanne founded Boccalatte Pty Ltd in 1990—her mission is using creativity to bring together people, business and culture. Suzanne has a Bachelor of Visual Arts (First Class Hons), University of Sydney and has qualifications in Communications Management (UTS), Drawing, Printmaking (NAS) and Copywriting (UTS). She is currently enrolled in an MA of Creative Writing (UTS). Her passion for culture and creativity has led to her producing a series of distinctive books and events in collaboration with authors, artists and galleries—including co-founder and editor of Trunk, an award-winning cultural compendium with contributions from a global community of writers, artists and designers.
She has appeared on TV and radio, lectured at universities and sat on many judging and advisory panels. In 2012–13 she was appointed to the NSW Government’s Creative Industries Taskforce—the industry-led body set up to develop strategies to drive growth and innovation in the creative industries She sits on Supported Studio Network Advisory Board for people with a disability and recently presented a keynote address at the Arts Hub Conference 2015 on how organisations need to articulate brand to thrive in our changing world. She was a mentor in the Semi Permanent X Telstra Innovation Lab at Carriageworks and Telstra’s Imaginarium 2015.
Boccalatte transforms the way organisations articulate who they are and what they do. They use design to bring together community, business and culture, and work as a catalyst for organisations and brands to manage their future challenges.
